Monday 26, April 2021

Northern Bay College conducted an inaugural service at the Norlane RSL branch on Friday. The service was held in lieu of the annual Geelong schools commemorative Anzac service, which is usually attended by NBC leaders but was cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions.

NBC principal Scott Diamond emphasised the importance of such services in maintaining connection to the community, he hoped the service would be the first of an annual commemorative event at Norlane RSL.

College captain Luke Graham highlighted to his peers that young people today must not only try to avoid war, but also end all forms of bullying, violence, racism and intolerance, while concentrating on respect for each other.

He and fellow school captain Katelyn Tregenza lay the college wreath at the Rose Avenue site before a morning tea was held in the RSL rooms.
