Goldsworthy Campus Renovation Funding Hopes!

Thursday 15, October 2020

On Wednesday 14 October a press release was sent to media outlets with some long awaited news for our College.

Member for Lara, John Eren visited Goldsworthy Campus to personally deliver this wonderful news to our student leaders, Katy and Mitchell, as well as Mr Massari. Mr Diamond and School Council President Shonah Friswell.

With this news, we believe that the Goldsworthy renewal is much closer to being realised. The college can now get architect plans, schematic designs and infrastructure in place so that when a budget is announced everything will be ready to start the build. Great News!

Victoria Department of Education and Training Press Release excerpt: Northern Bay College will receive $690,000 to plan for the delivery of the next stage of Northern Bay P-12 College's masterplan at Goldsworthy Road 9-12 Campus. Developing detailed designs now will mean these projects will be shovel-ready once capital funding is allocated in a future State Budget.

John Eren said: “The Victorian Government is supporting schools in the Lara Electorate to help their students achieve their best results by planning for a future upgrade for their school community.”

The announcement continues: The Victorian Government is investing an unprecedented $7.2 billion in Victorian school infrastructure, which is delivering more than 1,460 school upgrades and 100 new schools by 2026 – ensuring every child can access a great local school where they can achieve their best. With this we believe that Goldsworthy renewal is much closer to being realised
