Working in partnership with families and the community, we support every student through high expectations, personalised pathways and a strong focus on engagement, ensuring successful transitions from early years through to post-school pathways.
Northern Bay P-12 College provides a coordinated and consistent educational experience for children and young people in the Corio and Norlane communities. Our contemporary learning environments and specialist facilities support a broad range of academic, creative, vocational and sporting opportunities, including the SEED (Sporting Excellence Education Development) program, and IMPACT (Inspiring Musicians, Performers and Artists to Create Together).

Northern Bay P–12 College comprises four Prep–Year 8 campuses and one Year 9–12 campus. We also provide early years, family and community services, and deliver targeted programs that support student voice, inclusion and successful transitions.
Students also have access to The Geelong Industry Trade Training Centre, benefiting students through alternative pathways.
We are proud of our culturally diverse community and are committed to equity, respect and high-quality outcomes for all learners.

The College was established in 2011 following a major education regeneration project that brought together nine local schools to create a modern, connected learning community. Today, Northern Bay College supports students from early learning through to Year 12, with a strong focus on pathways to further education, training and employment.

Our story reflects the history of Geelong’s northern suburbs. The original schools serving Corio and Norlane were built in the 1950s, during a period of rapid post-war growth driven by major local industries such as Ford, Shell Refinery and Pilkington Glass. As the area expanded, schools quickly grew to accommodate large student populations, in some cases nearing 1,000 students.

By the early 2000s, however, the region’s school-age population had declined following the closure of major industries and demographic changes within the community. At that time, nine schools served the area, many with ageing facilities requiring significant investment. In response, the Victorian Government developed a comprehensive regeneration plan to transform education in the region. The plan proposed a new model: four Prep–8 campuses supported by a central senior campus for Years 9–12.

Between 2007 and 2010, the transition began. Rosewall Primary School merged with Corio Primary School in 2007, and several schools—including Corio South Primary, Corio West Primary, Corio Bay College, Flinders Peak Secondary College, Norlane High School and North Shore Primary School—closed as part of the new structure.

Northern Bay P–12 College officially opened in 2011 as Victoria’s largest multi-campus school. Students remained at the former Corio South site until new facilities across the College were ready. By 2013, the five-campus configuration was fully established.

Over the following decade, a major regeneration program continued across the College, modernising campuses with contemporary, environmentally sustainable facilities and flexible learning spaces designed for 21st-century education.

The redevelopment of the Goldsworthy Senior Campus began in 2022, with students and staff starting their move into the new campus in Term 2, 2024. The new facilities represent the final stage of a long-term transformation, ensuring Northern Bay College continues to provide high-quality learning environments for future generations.
