Multicultural Education Aides (MEAs)

Our MEAs support our Diverse College Community

The Government has provided significant funding to ensure support in first languages in classrooms, family meetings, translations and telephone communications available.

Multicultural Education Aides (MEAs) play a vital role in supporting students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds to fully engage in school life.

They act as a bridge between home and school, helping students navigate language barriers, build confidence, and access the curriculum in meaningful ways.

Through targeted support in classrooms, MEAs assist with language development, clarify learning tasks, and ensure students feel understood, included, and empowered to succeed.

Beyond academic support, MEAs contribute significantly to student wellbeing and belonging.

They foster strong relationships with families, support communication between the school and community, and promote cultural understanding across the college.

Their presence enriches the learning environment by celebrating diversity and helping all students develop respect, empathy and global awareness—key values in building an inclusive and connected school community.
