Student Scholarships

Student Scholarships

Through our NBC Challenge Committee, we award Year 7-8 Scholarships each year to existing Year 6 students. This scholarship removes obstacles, ensuring a successful transition and continued engagement at the college.

Scholarships and Student Opportunities

Northern Bay College encourages students to pursue a range of scholarship and enrichment opportunities. Each year, many of our students receive local, state and national awards, including programs such as Skyline and Western Chances.

The College also offers Year 7–8 Scholarships across four key pillars:

  • Academic – English, Mathematics, Languages and Humanities
  • Science and Technologies – Science, STEM/STEAM, Digital Technologies and technical subjects
  • Sport, Physical Education and Health – School and community sport and health programs
  • The Arts – Music, Dance, Drama, Visual Arts, Media and Graphics

Year 6 students can apply through a written application and interview process. Scholarships begin in Year 7 or 8 and support students as they progress through to the Goldsworthy Years 9–12 Campus.

Each scholarship provides up to $4,000 in support, tailored to the student and their chosen pillar. Support may include specialist equipment and materials, development opportunities such as leadership or tutoring programs, excursions, and assistance with memberships or registrations.
