About the GITTC
The Geelong Industry Trade Training Centre (GITTC), established in 2012, delivers high-quality vocational education and training (VETiS) to secondary students across seven partner schools in Geelong’s northern suburbs. Led by Northern Bay P–12 College and located at the Goldsworthy Road Campus in Corio, the Centre features a purpose-built $11.2 million facility equipped with industry-standard equipment and experienced trainers.
GITTC provides students with engaging, relevant pathways beyond secondary school, while also offering its state-of-the-art facilities for hire by external training organisations to support adult education and workforce development.
The seven schools partnering the Geelong Industry Trade Training Centre are:
- Geelong Grammar School
- Kardinia International College
- Lara Secondary College
- Nelson Park School
- Northern Bay P-12 College (Lead School)
- North Geelong Secondary College
- Western Heights Secondary College
The GITTC specialises in four main trade-focused VET pathways:
- Building & Construction
- Engineering
- Automotive
- Hospitality / Cookery
These are delivered as Certificate II level programs and contribute to VCE or VCE VM, with strong links to apprenticeships, TAFE, and employment pathways.
Northern Bay College has exclusive access to the GITTC’s state-of-the-art trade facilities, benefiting students through programs like the Year 7-8 specialist program, Senior School VETis, and STEM/Digi Tech programs.

As a person born and raised in Corio, it is an honour to be an educational leader in the Norlane and Corio communities. Beginning my school journey as a student at Corio South Primary School and then experiencing my secondary school education at Corio Technical School and Corio North High School, has prepared me well for understanding the people who make up this fantastic community. Returning to Geelong’s northern suburbs in 2007 as North Shore Primary School’s principal, the next four years involved preparing the pathway to merge our nine neighbourhood schools into the current Northern Bay College model. For the nine years from 2012, I proudly served as the Goldsworthy Campus Principal.
Having the opportunity to guide the development of The Geelong Industry Trade Training Centre (GITTC) since 2021 has enabled me to assist our diverse team to deliver high-quality vocational education and training (VET) for students from schools across Geelong as well as providing early experiences in the Arts, Design and Technologies (ADT) for Year 7&8 students.
I strongly value community participation, engagement and finding success and positive outcomes. Our wide range of GITTC programs provide inclusion for a diverse range of people.
