Opportunities for Students

Work Experience

Work experience is the short term placement of secondary school students, generally from Year 10, with employers to provide insights into the industry and the workplace in which they are located.

It provides students with the valuable opportunity to:

  • develop employability skills
  • explore possible career options
  • understand employer expectations, and
  • increase their self-understanding, maturity, independence and self-confidence.

Student Placements

Student placements provide meaningful work experience for secondary and tertiary students to assist them in their learning and development, and to learn about the day-to-day operations of a particular business area or agency.

Under these arrangements students can gain the skills they need to transition successfully from study to work, while giving industry the opportunity to enrich student learning experiences and increase the number of work-ready graduates.

Northern Bay College take on student placements after your schooling has completed, through variety of opportunities, from teachers and education support, to administration and IT. To find out more speak to your campus reception.
