This week marks National Volunteer Week, with this year’s theme, ‘Your Year to Volunteer’, celebrating the valuable contributions volunteers make within our community.
At the Northern Bay College Family Learning Centre Community Hub, we are incredibly grateful for the dedicated volunteers who support our many weekly programs, including our Digital Literacy Program, English Classes, Toy Library, and Playgroup.
Volunteering is about making a positive difference in the community. By volunteering, you can:

- Gain valuable experience and develop new skills

One of our wonderful English class volunteers, Kerstin, recently shared her thoughts on volunteering:
“I always feel appreciated by you, the teachers I support, and the students. I find it very rewarding. I have always wanted to give time to people who are new to Australia because I had kind people who helped me when I was new here 35 years ago.”
We are currently seeking a Childminding Volunteer for Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:00pm–2:00pm. A preferred language is Karen.
