Term 2 Community Hubs Program News

The Northern Bay College Community Hub has had a highly successful term, delivering a diverse range of programs and services to support our community. This term’s offerings have included:

  • Women’s English Classes
  • Digital Literacy Classes
  • Yoga Classes
  • Toy Library
  • Services Australia Information Sessions
  • Support for families to access the School Saving Bonus and Registration Rebate
  • Dari Women Parenting Program

These programs have had a positive impact on many members of our community, and we extend our sincere thanks to all of our partners whose ongoing support makes this work possible.

To conclude a busy and rewarding term, 20 Community Hub participants took part in the second Splash Together water familiarisation and education program. We were fortunate to work alongside our valued partners, City of Greater Geelong, Swimming Victoria, Leisure Networks, MELI and the Northern Bay Community Hub, whose collaboration made this program possible.

The Splash Together program continues to break down barriers to water safety education for culturally diverse women through a participant-led, co-designed approach. Throughout the week, participants challenged themselves, built confidence in and around the water, and shared many moments of joy, encouragement and connection.

We look forward to securing additional funding so this valuable program can continue to benefit more women and families in our community.

We are excited about the range of programs and opportunities planned for Term 3 at the Community Hub, and we look forward to sharing them with you soon. Stay tuned!
