For R U OK? Day, Goldsworthy students Thomas and Catherine asked our students these three simple questions and gave them the opportunity to answer in their own words.
There were no right or wrong answers. Just different experiences, perspectives and ideas about what it means to be there for someone.
R U OK? Day at Goldsworthy π
Last week, Goldsworthy Campus came together to celebrate a fantastic Student-Led R U OK? Day, with students taking the lead in creating a welcoming, supportive and connected day for our college community.
Our Student Managers and House Leaders did a wonderful job supporting our student leaders to organise and run a morning breakfast for students and staff. The breakfast was very well attended and provided a great opportunity for everyone to come together, connect with one another and start the day on a positive note.
The day also featured market stalls run by our VM students, with funds raised being donated to agencies in need of support. It was fantastic to see our students demonstrating such generosity and compassion, not only looking out for one another but also thinking about the needs of people across our wider community.
R U OK? Day provided an important reminder about the value of connection, conversation and supporting those around us. Most importantly, the day showcased the incredible leadership of our students and their commitment to creating a positive and caring college community.
A huge congratulations to all of our student leaders, Student Managers, House Leaders and VM students for their efforts in making the day such a success. Your leadership, kindness and compassion made a real difference! π
